Maxpayments, 2000Charge Ink Deal for EuroDebit Transactions

WOODLAND HILLS, Calif. — Payment processing company Maxpayments has struck a partnership with alternative billing provider 2000Charge to allow Maxpayments clients to accept EuroDebit transactions.

The deal will allow Maxpayments to reach yet untapped customer bases in the international market.

“We see significantly increased sales, far better ratios and overall improvements in revenue for clients who have begun to offer noncredit-based payment choices,” Maxpayments’ Jon Avganim said. “The addition of EuroDebit to our platform through this strategic partnership with 2000Charge builds on the momentum we have already created in a big way.”

The international market online has long preferred direct payment methods, rather than relying on credit card transactions — a method that reportedly in some parts of the world accounts for a tremendously low percentage of market share — and the U.S. consumer market is starting to catch onto the benefits of direct debit.

“Webmasters see that alternate payment processing solutions represent a significant opportunity, but like all business opportunities, it has to be approached in the right way,” 2000Charge President Wolf Kring said. “2000Charge has been monetizing European and international consumers for a long while and we are very excited to be combining our expertise with the knowledgebase that the Maxpayments team has already established.”

In other Maxpayments news, the company will host a cocktail party June 25 at the Stone Rose Lounge in Los Angeles, in conjunction with the iDate 2009 show. Email sales@maxpayments.com to get on the guest list.
